Sunyudo Park in Yanghwa-dong, Youngdeungpo Ward, is a pleasant shock to people who associate riverside areas with gray concrete embankment. The park has woods with ash trees that give visitors a welcome shade; an amphitheater for singing and dancing youngsters; an aquatic plant garden with irises and cattails; blue bamboo trees; moss-grown stone stairs; exotic silver and gray white birch trees; and ivy-covered green columns.
