Antiques Street in Itaewon

The two-kilometer-long alley from Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon to Hotel Crown is packed with curio dealers such as Bomulsang, Sophia, Crown, Chelsea and Coronet. Antiques refer to ancient objects around 100 years old, like dilapidated tables, chairs, wall clocks with watch springs, and old-fashioned oil lamps stained with years of grease. But the history of the curio shops is not as old as that of the antiques they deal in.
