Today’s story is about Ssangyoung Spinning Co., which succeeded in developing mulberry fiber. Mulberry fiber is natural thread made from Korean traditional paper “hanji.” Environmentally friendly mulberry fiber is expected to emerge as a newly competitive product to counter such environment-derived concerns as endocrine disruptors and atopic syndrome. Today we have Mr. Park Ju, section chief of Ssangyoung Spinning, to tell us about how Ssangyoung Spinning Co. came to develop mulberry fiber and what the future holds for company.
