Korea’s noted baked goods manfuacturer Shany

Now it’s time to meet one of Korea’s noted companies. This week I bring you a story about Shany, one of Korea’s oldest and largest bread-making companies. Shany recently won the 2008 Total Productive Maintenance Award from the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance. The recipient of this annual award is selected from a pool of leading manufacturers around the world and the list of honorable winners include such world-class companies as Toyota, food packaging company Tetra Pack, and Volvo. This year 98 manufacturers from 30 countries were selected to receive the awards. Shany is the first Korean food company to join this prestigious rank and here’s its Director Ahn Jae-beom to tell us why Shany deserves such an honor.
