The Hyoja-dong Sarangbang, known as the ‘presidential museum’ of South Korea, was renovated into the ‘Cheong Wa Dae (Office of the President) Sarangchae’ and opened to the public. As part of its efforts to turn the vicinity of the Cheong Wa Dae in to a tourist attraction, Seoul City started refurbishing the two-story building, with a total space of 4,116.98 square meters, into the ‘Cheong Wa Dae Sarangchae’, in March 2009.
