CJ Foodvill has been in the spotlight more and more recently, aiming to globalize its brands. Since it was founded in 1953 as the food service section of the CJ Group, CJ Foodvill has been at the top of the Korean food industry. In 2000 it was reborn as a comprehensive food service company overseeing such restaurant franchises as the family restaurant VIPS, the specialty noodle chain, Czen, the bakery Tous Les Jours, and nine other restaurant brands. It's also worth noting that eleven out of twelve CJ Foodvill brands are locally developed. Its development of menus and business strategies that cater to local preferences and environment have enabled the company to enjoy an annual growth of over 40%.
