Where are some good schools to study Korean?

The study of Korean as a second or foreign language has increased substantially in recent years. Since the 1997 introduction of the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), an examination that certifies Korean language ability for purposes such as study and employment, the number of applicants for the test has risen from 2,274 in its first year to some 180,000 in 2009. This can be attributed, among other things, to the increased standing of Korea as an economic power, its greater cultural reach, and the rising number of international residents. The test is currently offered twice a year in 25 countries on six continents.
