A number of Korean clothing designers also have earned reputations in several world centers of fashion. In the U.S. market, Doo-ri Chung, Richard Chai and Y & Kei (the husband and wife duo of Gene Kang and Hanii Yoon) have gained recognition as emerging designers to watch, each possessing eponymous labels sold in top department stores, as well as a string of A-list celebrity clients. Meanwhile, Paris has enjoyed André Kim, Korea's first male fashion designer and the first Korean ever to show in the French capital, for the past few decades, while names like Lie Sang-bong (who utilizes Hangeul in his designs), Lee Young-hee (Korea's leader in traditional hanbok) and Ji Haye (the first Korean designer to be invited to be a guest member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in France) are also gaining recognition in the Paris scene. Men's wear designer Woo Young-mi, another Korean staple in Paris since 2002, has a store in the trendy Marais neighborhood with an annual sales volume of 17.5 million euros, representing the largest of the Korean men's wear brands in Paris.
