An English-language radio station this year will start FM broadcasts in the Seoul metropolitan area and five other major cities.
The Information and Communication Ministry reported to the presidential transition committee Monday (Jan. 14) that Arirang Radio will start FM service in the six areas. Arirang has aired FM broadcasts on Jeju Island since 2003, in addition to being available on digital terrestrial multimedia, or DMB, and the Web.
