Korea's aspiration to become the top IT venue and home of e-sports players is in full flight with the opening of E-Star Seoul 2008, a digital festival held on a grand scale with the participation of online game players from the East and West, and for the first time attracting those located as far off as Europe, Africa and Latin America.
