Icheon, just outside of Seoul, sits in the middle of a wide plain of rice fields. Records say that Icheon-produced rice was so good that it was offered to the royal family during the Joseon Dynasty.
At harvest time each year, the city holds a festival to celebrate its great rice, one of the staples of the Korean diet, as well as its farming culture.
