Jin Air, Korean Air's budget carrier affiliate, had its maiden flight Thursday, July 17. The flight departed Gimpo airport at 10 a.m. after an inauguration ceremony attended by Jin Air President Kim Jae-kun, Korean Air Chairman and CEO Cho Yang-ho, and officials from the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. A 189-seat B737-800 jet was put into operation on the Seoul-Jeju route.
