The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said Tuesday (Mar. 17) that it would unite worldwide Korean language institutes into a single King Sejong Institute, as part of the government's efforts to enhance Korea's nation brand ranking, which is currently placed in 33rd in the 2008 Anholt Nation Brands Index.
Sejong was the name of the fourth king of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). He was the king responsible for the creation of Hangeul.
