Korean-American Author/Illustrator Matthew J. Baek published his new children’s book, “Be Gentle with the Dog, Dear.” He based the story on his experience with his daughter taking care of the family dog. The publisher, Penguin Group, commented that it is a wonderfully witty take on playing nice, from a fresh and funny new talent. An initial 50,000 copies were printed in early May, but more copies were ordered due to high demands. Borders, a nationwide book vendor, selected Baek’s “Be Gentle with the Dog, Dear” as a recommended book for children.
