The Korean government has invited old veterans of the Korean War for the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the Korean War (1950-53) that falls on June 25.
The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and the Korea Veterans Association have invited some 70 Korean War veterans and their families from overseas – 42 from the United States, 18 from Belgium and 10 from Colombia – to attend the ceremony to commemorate the Korean War, pay respects to the war dead and tour around the country.
