Lotus Lantern Festival to Kick off in Korea on April 24

The Lotus Lantern festival, which is held every year in Korea, commemorates the birth of Buddha.

Many foreign tourists attend this festival, which provides a great opportunity to experience Korea's Buddhist culture. “The 2009 Lotus Lantern festival” will be held from April 24-26 in the downtown areas of Seoul, Seoul Plaza, and Jogyesa temple, whilst this year Buddha's birthday actually falls on May 2.
