Sambisan Mountain

Boseong tea field, with about 330 hectares of total area, is the largest tea field in Korea. About 30 percent of Korea's green teas are produced here. The neighboring mountains took a great part in making Boseong Village the most famous green tea field in the nation. As the earth is composed of soil with the proper oceanic climate and inland climate suitable for the cultivation of green tea trees, Hwalseongsan Mountain and Sambisan Mountain are the two representative mountains in the nation for green tea cultivation. In particular, Sambisan Mountain is well-known for its attractive royal azalea blossoms in spring.
