Yeongok-myeon in Ganneung-si is a scenic rural area with mountains and beaches. The little diamond-shaped spot on the slope of Noinbong Peak of Odaesan Mountain was nominated as scenic spot Myeongseung No. 1, and Yeongok Beach is well loved by many vacationers in summer. However, another scenic spot in Yeongok is Sucheongdong Valley, which has been free of any pollutants or contamination so far. Sucheongdong is a secret deep valley in the mountains that has not been well-known to the public up to now. Only few people visit the valley.
