Two Koreas Begin Cross-border Cargo Train Service in Over 50 Years

In the early morning of Tuesday (Dec. 11) the (South) Korea Railroad (KORAIL)'s Engine No. 7303 pulled a train out of South Korea's Dorasan Station, heading toward Panmun and Bongdong stations across the border near the North's Gaeseong Industrial Complex. So began the first regular cargo train service to move between the two Koreas since the 1950-53 Korean War.
