A Variety of Cultural Festivals Celebrate Legacy of Ancient Baekje Kingdom


The kingdom is especially remembered for its splendid artworks, the soft smile of Buddha, delicate designs on roof tiles, and intricate patterns on various metal ornaments. And with such great cultural prowess, the kingdom had a profound influence over the development of ancient Japan, triggering considerable development in areas of society, art and politics during the island nation's Asuka period from 6th to 7th century. Here are two festivals to celebrate the legacy of Baekje this summer.
