YWCA Bucheon to Provide Program for Korean Adoptees Abroad

YWCA Bucheon’s new project “Who am I?” aims to aid Korean adoptees around the world to become more familiar with Korea.

Because of different background and contacts with native Koreans, Korean adoptees often face identity crisis. Additionally, process of locating biological parents is often difficult and monetary burden often hinder their plans to visit their motherland. “Who am I?” seeks to resolve such problems by providing necessary information, host families, and networks in Korea. Furthermore, the program seeks to promote awareness of Korean adoptees and integration among Koreans.
