How can Korea export oil when oil is not one of its natural resources?

Korea has no domestic crude oil reserves and therefore relies totally on imports. The country is the fifth-largest importer of petroleum in the world, taking in 2.73 million barrels of oil per day in 2007, from 30 countries.
