What sorts of charity events are hosted by the government and domestic businesses?

The government is also holding, from April 2009 through January 2010, a series of nationwide charity performances by the "Four Seasons Culture-Sharing Troupe," which showcases music, plays, puppet theater and traditional and pop culture performances to the country's culturally alienated areas. The aim of the troupe is to give hope through culture to people who have been harshly affected by the economic crisis. During the ceremony marking the launch of the troupe in April, additional funds raised by ministry staff were donated to cultural and artistic leaders for the purpose of expanding cultural opportunities for lower income earners.
