UNESCO has designated a number of Korean festivals as "Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity." Other festivals are celebrated at UNESCO-designated World Heritage Sites. A third category of UNESCO-related festivals includes the Pusan International Film Festival, which received the UNESCO Fellini Medal.
