Five Korean Intangible Cultural Assets added to UNESCO list


Five of Korea's time honored dances and rituals were officially listed as UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity at a meeting held in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday (Sept. 30).

The newly approved intangible properties are ganggangsuwollae (Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 18), namsadang-nori (Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 3), yeongsanjae (Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 50), Jeju chilmeoridang-yeong-gut (Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 71) and Cheoyongmu (Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 39).
