KTX bullet train passengers top 100 million after 3 years of operation

The total number of passengers who have used Korea's bullet train, the KTX, exceeded 100 million on Saturday (April 21) after slightly over three years of operation, said the Korea Railroad Corp. (Korail), which operates the KTX.

The record was set at 2:17 p.m. when Mr. Yun Kyu-shik, a 43-year-old resident of Seoul, arrived at Seoul Station aboard a KTX train originating from Busan, said Korail. The 100 millionth passenger was given a free ticket for all KTX trains, valid for three years.
