U.S. Beef Arrive in Korea


A shipment of U.S. beef arrived in Korea on April 23(Monday), opening the door for the nation’s resumption of beef imports from the U.S. after they had been banned for more than three years due to concerns over mad cow disease.

The 6.4 tons of meat from the state of Kansas, which arrived at Incheon International Airport, and will be under quarantine inspections, the Korean Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said.
