New York Philharmonic Performs Landmark Concert in Pyongyang

An ensemble of U.S. musicians and North Korean audience waved to each other Tuesday (Feb. 26) night at the end of a milestone concert in Pyongyang.

When the New York Philharmonic played Arirang, the most popular Korean folk song, as the final encore of its 90-minute performance in the North, the nearly 1,500 North Koreans who packed the theater appeared to be deeply moved.
