Korea has no shortage of beaches, as the peninsula is surrounded by seas to the east, south and west. During the summer months, the majority of vacationers head to the seaside to escape the humid weather. Three of the most popular beaches in Korea are Sokcho in Gangwon-do Province, Daecheon in Chungcheongnam-do Province, and Haeundae in Busan, Gyeongsangnam-do Province.
