Where does Korea's mask tradition origin from?
The first
tal,
meaning mask in Korean, was found in Dongsam-dong, Busan. It is made of a clamshell with holes for the eyes and mouth. It is regarded as proof that the
tal
existed even in the Neolithic age, around 5,000 B.C.
